Random Selection A friend of mine helped me on this by creating a program to randomly select teams from The Blue Alliance. All teams are divided up to 6 groups based on their rookie year to stratify data. From each group, up to 25 (team) numbers are randomly generated as long as they:
After getting the team numbers, I searched up all 150+ teams* by hand for contact information. I'm contacting all the teams through email first if I found one, then other teams through their available social media by direct messaging. I envision being banned by Facebook very soon if I send messages to 50 accounts at once. *A hundred and fifty teams may sound like a lot, but I'm expecting a very low return rate. If a particular group has an extremely low response rate I may generate additional random teams to make up for the difference. Volunteers
Big thank you to the teams that volunteered to participate!!! It really helps me allocate time/resources a lot better. Given the team numbers I will put your team in the corresponding category. Your gracious offer keeps the rate of which I need to contact extra teams down. No matter which way you got involved -- THANK YOU, you all ROCK!!
